MIXTAPE: FRIDAY (Apr 4 2008)

It's Friday, and I felt like making a mixtape. Although all the songs don't sound the same (see: boring), there's a similar tone (read: arc). So, onto the weekend.

[01] ::: Burial - Southern Comfort
[02] ::: Battles - Atlas
[03] ::: Apparat - Arcadia
[04] ::: Hercules & Love Affair - Athene
[05] ::: Does It Offend You, Yeah? - Let's Make Out (Alt Version)
[06] ::: MSTRKRFT - She's Good For Business
[07] ::: Glass Candy - Sugar & Whitebread
[08] ::: Gang of Four - I Love a Man in Uniform (YYY Remix)
[09] ::: White Williams - Route To Palm
[10] ::: Bomarr - Trike

Oh, and I dropped it onto a muxtape as well. Hello bandwagon!

MUSIC: Ratatat Remixes Volume 2

So I've been tracking the leaks of Ratatat's Remix Mixtape Volume 2 on Macktronic (here and here) for a while now, and it looks like all the hunting/searching can finally come to an end. Their official website has now posted the entire mixtape for free, including the three tracks I wasn't able to previously find. As expected, they're incredibly strong and immediately enjoyable. (The Beans freestyle is fantastic).

::: Young Jeezy & Bun B - Over Here (Ratatat Remix)
::: Beans - Freestyle (w/ Ratatat Beats)
::: Saigon & U.G.K. - We Gon' Ride (Ratatat Remix)

Download the entire mixtape here.

MIXTAPE: NUMBER TWO (The Junction Between Summer and Fall)

It's been a while since I've posted a mixtape, but I thought it prudent to pass this along; seeing as it rained today for the first time in a long while, I find myself pulled to songs of this grouping: fleeting, caught, and residual (to be obscure).

01 ::: Panda Bear - Bros (edit)
02 ::: Gang Gang Dance - Egowar
03 ::: Mixel Pixel - You're The Kind of Girl
04 ::: Bonobo - Change Down / The Sugar Rhyme
05 ::: Broken Social Scene - Lover's Spit
06 ::: The Robot Ate Me - We Were Human
07 ::: Sunburned Hand of the Man - Butterfly Mask
08 ::: Liars - Sunset Rodeo
09 ::: Tel Aviv - History (alt)
10 ::: Brightblack Morning Light - Everybody Delight
